We'll miss you

Dearest Comot,
Today is a very sad day for my family and I... Today you left us for good. And it is hard for us, especially my brothers and myself, to see you go because you weren't just a pet cat to us. You were family. And we hope that you left knowing just how much we love you.
Despite our grief of losing you, we're very thankful to you for dedicating 17 years of your life to us. 17 human years! Even the vets were surprised at the long life you have lived. And you lived it by giving us years full of unconditional love, joy, and happiness. I truly believe you have more than fulfilled your duty as a beloved creature of Allah s.w.t., and it was simply time for you to leave. Thank you for fighting off your age and illnesses these past few months. I know you held on just for us... I calm myself knowing that your suffering has finally ended now. May you rest in peace.
I can't help but cry as I write you this... But my tears are accompanied by a smile etched forever in my heart for being so lucky as to have had you in my life. Izhar and Amir have always said, "Comot will never die.. she'll be with us forever" and they are right. You'll be with us forever, in our memories. And I am confident in saying that, for all of those who have known you and loved you, we will miss you much, and will always love you and remember you in our hearts.
