Audiowarfare 2007 @ MMU Cyberjaya

Drove over to MMU after work to catch this year's Audiowarfare competition. My ex-bandmate Shafik took part with his new band, so I went to give support. And they won! Yeay! Shafik sila berterima kasih kerana sokongan ex-drummer anda telah memberi berkat! Hahahaha

My poor Darth Monty got into its first accident 
I was driving to PKNS Kompleks to pick up my renewded passport with Baba when this crazy driver driving laju nak mampos banged into me at the roundabout in front of the Shah Alam Mosque. Hit the front-right side of Darth Monty.... narrowly missing the driver's door. Nasib baik. Huhu. It was entirely his fault, and despite the fact that there were pakcik-pakcik baru habis sembahyang standing there I proceeded to curse and shout at the dude for it. Giler hangin ah. Baba pun basuh dia habis hahaha...
It was a hard bang, but thankfully my car has the force of the dark side and did not get dented... only surface scratches and the wheel alignment got a bit wonky. The dude's car was dented though, and his car actually did a complete spin and faced the opposite direction of the road when he hit me. Bangang. Free-free keter aku dah cacat.

Poor girl's been so busy lately, we could barely get a hold of her to hang out! Still, Weird and I decided there is no way we're not celebrating Shy's birthday... we HAD to have one no matter how small or impromptu! So we went to her place and dragged her to One Utama's A&W and had a pretty good time eating like crazy. Sham came to join us a little later and we showed him the piles of plates and paper boxes we'd accumulated before he came.... it really didn't look like only 3 girls had eaten! 
We all couldn't hang out for long, but later on that night Weird, Fiqrie and I went to Shy's house to celebrate again (with a slice of brownie and her present!).

Had dinner with Mummy and Baba at Jim Thompson's My Thai restaurant in Starhill. Food was yummy (and expensive!! Tapi Mummy bayar so takpe hehehe...). After dinner we sat at the concourse of Shook! restaurant and ordered dessert, whilst watching the jazz band play. They're really good! I enjoyed myself immensely despite the fact that it was Baba's birthday celebration instead of mine haha

Had fun at 8TV's What Women Want wrap party. It was a 'by invitation only' event, but the guys could bring dates hence I came as Christian's guest, so I was in, yeay! (Thanks Britboy Capes  )
Many many gorgeous, great guys in one venue at one time? Ultimate heaven!  Although I can't ever imagine having romantic feelings for them all (like hello.. Sham? Charles?? Carliff???  ), they were definitely yummy sights for sore eyes. Hahaha. Good job guys... it was fun following you all throughout the show.

Being the fame-whore that I am... I shall shamelessly plug the fact that all Shell employees around the world today who open up their Internet Explorer will see my ugly face! Muahaha!
It's actually a banner promoting video diaries my friend Pieter and I made in conjuction with the launch of Brand Week for Shell, in which they debut the a new film to be used for advertising, called 'Eureka!'. If you go back a few pages you'll see the entry I published about my assignment. So they launched it this week, and my video diaries and blog are up online!! I wonder if Jeroen watches and reads them...

Flew down to Penang on the 2nd of Feb until the 4th to join the A&R team and help out at a career fair in USM (Engineering Campus). Stayed at the Gurney hotel, which was really nice but it only meant that we had to make the 40-minute drive to get to the campus (we rented a car). Much preferable, really.. 'cuz the campus was in the middle of nowhere! Hehe.
The weekend was fun, 'cuz we got to eat all the good food of Penang, and I was hanging out with a bunch of fun people heheh. The career fair itself was pretty tiring... BUT... highlight of the entire trip had nothing to do with the work-aspect of it! Haha!
What happened was, after having dinner on Saturday night, Trevor and I thought we'd go to check out one of the clubs 'cuz we didn't know what else to do and still had a few hours to kill that night. We decided we'd go to Slippery Senoritas... Trev could enjoy a drink and check out the chicks, I could check out the live band and enjoy the music. The other ladies decided not to join us 'cuz they were meeting up with other friends elsewhere, and wanted an early night.
So off Trevor and I went to the club, setllted in, and enjoyed the music and people-watching. And right in the middle of the 2nd set by the live band, we got raided!!! Eyyup.. of all the things to happen. The cops came, the lead guy stepped onto the stage and took over the mic from the band, introduced himself as coming from the Narcotics department and asked the males and females to separate and take out our ICs.
Needless to say Trevor and I had to laugh hahaha. Through the 'adventure' we went... getting our ICs registered by the cops, going through the urine test, waiting for the results, waiting for our names to be called out. The raid started at about 1am... and it took soooooooo loooooooooooooong!!! The process could've been more organized but heh... I dunno... it was all messy and kelam kabut instead. I was released at almost 4am, but waited for Trevor who was only let go at almost 6am. Crazy! We were veeeery sleepy and veeery hungry by then... drove to a mamak, had our roti canais to settle our growling tummies, and then dragged ourselves back to our hotel and into bed.
Next afternoon we got up and with huge, idiotic smiles relayed the story to the A&R ladies who laughed at us about it kekeke. I bet that of all the things they thought would happen, they didn't expect us to be caught in a police raid at a club . Oh well... at least it proves that we're clean folks who don't do drugs eh
